Phil passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He was born November 5, 1933 in Kalamazoo, the son of Frank and Nellie (Maas) Koss. He was employed by Abex NWL (currently Parker Hannifin Corp.) until his retirement. On November 22, 1993, he was united in marriage to Mary (Eley) DeZoete. He will be missed by all who know him. Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Mary Koss; his children, Sharon Goodman and Bradley (Corrine) Koss; his two grandsons, Mark Rice and John (Jane) Rice; his two great-grandsons, Tony and Nick Rice; brother, Frank (Jo) Koss; three step-children, Debra Guisinger, Ann Fulton and Douglas DeZoete; four step-grandchildren, Sondra Burridge, Justin Guisinger, Lindsey Guisinger, and Ezralyn DeZoete; four step-great-grandchildren; and former spouse, Patricia Flight. Preceding him in death were his parents and step-grandson, Michael Robert Guisinger. Friends may visit with the family from 4-6 PM on Saturday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. There will be no public services. Memorial contributions may be directed to West Michigan Cancer Center.
