Paul Wolthuis

Wolthuis, Paul Kalamazoo, Michigan Paul A. Wolthuis, age 86 of Kalamazoo, went to be with the Lord, whom he loved, on Good Friday, April 15, 2022. Paul was born on March 6, 1936, in Kalamazoo, the son of Hendrick and Trina (Zomer) Wolthuis. He attended Kalamazoo Central High School. Paul was a skilled carpenter by trade and a handyman by design. He was united in marriage on November 1, 1957 to Barbara Pollard, who preceded him in death in 2017. He was often found at Flea Markets on Saturday mornings and auctions looking for great deals. The last 20 years he had enjoyed his time spent at his cabin in Baldwin where fun and fellowship was had by all who ventured there. He especially cherished time with his family and felt blessed to share in the lives of his Grand-children and Great- Grandchildren. Paul is survived by his children: Jeff (Tracie) Wolthuis, Pam Wolthuis, and Doug Wolthuis; grandchildren: Danelle (Cam) Drake, Katie (Phil) Doorlag, Jolie (Kevin) Sportel, Erik (Karen) Triestram, Justin Triestram, Caleb Triestram and Carly Triestram; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers: Dan (Libby) Wolthuis, Jerry (Doris) Wolthuis and Terry (Jean) Wolthuis; sisters-in-law: Jackie Wolthuis, Betty (Babe) Wolthuis, Sally Wolthuis, and brothers-in-law, Bill Kollar and David Pollard; and many nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends on Monday, April 25, 2022 from 10-11 AM at Texas Corners Bible Church where a funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. The family invites you to a luncheon directly after the service. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery in Texas Corners.
