Paul Visscher

Formerly of Kalamazoo, Paul passed away at his home on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the age of 70. He was born on September 9, 1947, in Kalamazoo, MI a son of Charles and Clara (Dekema) Visscher. Paul worked at Ship-Pac for many years then started his own lawn care company before retiring and moving to Baldwin. He was a former member of Second Christian Reformed Church where he served as a deacon. Paul enjoyed woodworking and being up north riding the trails. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Virginia DeDoes. On July 22, 1966 Paul married the former Diana "Dini" Hall, who survives. Also surviving are three children, Teri (David) Cross of Kalamazoo, Tamara Bergman of Otsego and Paul (Heidi) Visscher of Kalamazoo; ten grandchildren, Jordan, Alec and Bryant Cross, Brandon and Tori Bergman, Chloe Gray, and Cole, Maxwell, Avery and Mason Visscher; two sisters, Norene (Paul) VanDerKlok and Garilyn (Duane) Bogard; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 6th from 2-4PM and 5-7PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Thursday, June 7th at Second Christian Reformed Church, 3015 Nichols Rd, with Rev. John Bothof and Alec Cross officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Ever-Rest Memorial Park, North. Memorials may be directed to the Susan P. Wheatlake Regional Cancer Center.
