Paul Schreuder

Paul H. Schreuder, age 69, of Kalamazoo, MI went to be with his Lord, Tuesday morning, September 13, 2016. Paul was born April 12, 1947 in Kalamazoo the son of the late Henry and Kathleen (Clapp) Schreuder. He was a graduate of Kalamazoo Central H.S., Kalamazoo College, and earned a Master's Degree from Western Michigan University. Paul enjoyed music and was a church organist for 51 years. He was a faithful member of Second Christian Reformed Church. Paul was employed for over 30 years with the Pfizer Corporation before his retirement. He loved biking, camping with his family, and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. On September 26, 1975 Paul was united in marriage to his loving wife, Rea (Apotheker), who survives. Also surviving are his 3 children and 8 grandchildren, Brian (Lynelle) Schreuder and their children, Hannah, Kiersten, and Meredith; Joel (Sarah) Schreuder and their children, Isaac, Leah, Micah; Karyn (Joshua) Honig and their children, Arie and Anneke; brother and sisters, Alan (Sue) Schreuder, Lois (Paul) Strong, Mary (Harry) Disselkoen; several brothers and sisters in law; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, September 17 at Second Christian Reformed Church, 3015 Nichols Rd with Pastor Fred DeYoung officiating. Private family interment will be in Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may meet the family Friday, September 16 from 4-8pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. Memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center or the Reformed Heritage Christian School.
