Paul Hoogenboom

Hoogenboom, Paul W. Kalamazoo Age 81, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 3, 2021. Paul was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on April 27, 1940, the son of the late Henry and Gertrude (Kokmeyer) Hoogenboom. He served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps. Paul was a self-employed masonry contractor. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. On September 18, 1964, Paul married the former Janet M. Vander Weele, who survives. He is also survived by his children, Brian (Sheri), Aaron (Kim) and Gwen Hoogenboom; grandchildren, Travis, Cassidy, Kyle, Josh and Alexa; brothers, Raymond, Phillip (Connie), Dale (Judy) and Tim Hoogenboom; sister, Marilyn Racket and many nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Hoogenboom; sisters, Elaine and Barbara Hoogenboom and Judith Badtelamente; as well as two infant sisters and one infant brother. A memorial service to celebrate Paul's life will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Haven Church, 5350 N. Sprinkle Rd., Kalamazoo, MI 49004. Visitation will take place at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment with full military honors will be at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
