Patricia L. Torres

Patricia L. Torres, age 83, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Aurora Memorial Hospital, Burlington, WI. She was born in Madison, August 2, 1934, daughter of the late Marion and Margaret (Nee: Ray) Cullen.

She graduated from William Horlick High School. Patricia met Locadio Torres while playing softball in Sturtevant, where they married on May 5, 1956, and resided for the rest of their days.

Patricia served her community as a member at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Sturtevant fulfilling any role necessary for over sixty years. She also served through her occupation as a lunch lady at Sturtevant Elementary School and became a baker at William Horlick High School.

In her younger years she adored playing cards with her dear card club friends. She was a pioneer woman of the Village of Sturtevant and cared about the entire village until the day she died. She was loyal, humble, meek and loving.

In addition to her parents Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Locadio on December 18, 1972; her son, Steven Charles Torres on December 12, 2002, and by her brother, Richard Cullen.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Pam Torres of Sturtevant, Rick (Karen) Torres of Burlington; daughter-in-law, Lisa (Nee: Knepper) (Jeremiah) Dirnberger; her grandchildren, Heather Flores, Lindsay (Jeff) Bruce, Kody Locadio (Torrie) Torres; her great-grandchildren, Breanna and Jalen, Jeffrey Jr., DeShawn, Larissa and Jaxson; sister, Alyce Adkison; nephews and nieces; special friends, Ruth Thomforde and Darlene Potter as well as many at Killarney Court in Sturtevant and all of those tied to the village.

She was deeply loved by many as far as Australia and as wide as the heart can spread open with love. Our Pat wants you to know once you entered her heart she kept you there.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 14, 2018, 10:30 A.M. at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 3100 95th Street, Sturtevant, with Rev. Javier Guativa officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday at the church from 9:00 A.M. until time of Mass at 10:30 A.M.
