Patricia Kieffer

Kieffer, Patricia 8/5/1928 - 12/5/2022 Portage Passed away Monday December 5, 2022 at Director's Hall/Heritage Community. Patricia was born August 5, 1928 in Forest Hills, NY the daughter of Arnold and Mabel (Nolan) Bonbrake. Pat made the move from NYC to Michigan and shortly after, met the love of her life Mervin Kieffer. Pat enjoyed visiting her family and many friends, as she especially enjoyed her daily talks on the telephone. She played the piano and frequently volunteered at the former Leila Hospital, as well as serving her church community. On February 2, 1952 in Forest Hills, NY Patricia was united in marriage to Mervin Kieffer who preceded her in death on May 18, 2001. Together, Pat and Mervin enjoyed their many trips, especially to Hawaii and Corpus Christi, TX. They built a life based on faith, being members of the St.Joesph and St.Monica parish. Also preceding her in death was her daughter Debbie Diamond; grandson Matthew Diamond; brother-in-law, George Congdon. Surviving are son, Mark (Sharon) Kieffer; sister, Betty Congdon; four grandchildren, Shannon, Jessica, Katie, Doug; six great- grandchildren, Logan, Rowan, Kieffer, Connor, Blake, Kellin; two nephews. Friends will be received 10 11 am Thursday December 15, 2022 at St. Monica Catholic Church where Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am. Interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Centrica Care Navigators or St. Monica Church. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Heritage Community and Centrica Care for all their love and devotion they showed in caring for Patricia.
