Norma Dedow

Dedow, Norma J. Portage, MI formerly of Canton, MI Norma Jean Dedow, age 88 of Portage formerly of Canton, died in Portage, Michigan, on August 29, 2022. She was born on March 8, 1934, in Rockford, Illinois, daughter of Marion (Geyer) and Leonard G. Rorer. Norma was a graduate of Northern Illinois University and received her master's degree in education from Eastern Michigan University. On February 9, 1958, she married Warren H. Dedow. Norma was an avid reader and loved playing bridge. She was a member of a Bridge Club for many years. She and her husband lived in Australia for a couple of years when Warren H. worked for Ford Motor Company. Norma and Warren enjoyed travelling in that area of the world and loved meeting people of different cultures. Her family includes her children: Warren (Carol) Dedow and Marla (Gregory) Koslosky; her grandchildren: Laura (Shawn) Miller, Christopher Dedow, Cynthia (Gregory) Nicholson, and Jessica (Christopher) Kosrow; her great-grandchild, Owen Jacob Nicholson; and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Rorer and Marion Rorer Gerlach, her husband Warren H. Dedow, and her brothers, Leonard and Robert.
