Norma Arney

Norma Arney, age 72, of Sturgis, MI died on July 9, 2016. She was born November 1, 1943 in Battle Creek daughter of Stanley and Joyce (Wagner) Harriman. Norma resided in Sturgis for most of her life. Her early life was spent in Richland where she was a graduate of Richland High School with the class of 1961. She is survived by her husband: Daniel; sons: Douglas Arney of Sturgis and Dennis (Tracy) Arney of Fishers, Indiana; grandchildren: Bryce Boals, Mason Boals, Emily Yoder, Cody Arney, Ryan Arbogast, Trevor Arbogast, Maxwell Arney, Isabelle Arney and Jacob Arney; great grandchildren: Loretta Pursel and Ryan Murphy. Preceded in death by her parents; sister: Barbara Olsen and daughter-in-law: Loretta "Laurie" Arney. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sturgis. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Norma Arney Trinity Lutheran School Memorial Scholarship Fund, 406 S. Lakeview Ave., Sturgis, MI 49091.
