Noreen Boodt

Noreen M. Boodt, age 83, of Glendale, MI passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Meadow Woods in Bloomingdale. Noreen was born November 22, 1931 in Chicago, the daughter of John and Dorothy Newcomb. She enjoyed traditional yearly vacations at her cabin with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing cards, dominos, bowling and telling ghost stories. Surviving are her children, Gail (John) Schmitt of Bangor, Bobbie (Barry) Staggs of Paw Paw, Mark (Penny) Boodt of Bangor, Sallie Swift of Paw Paw; grandchildren, Michael (Becky) Stone, Mark Stone, Mindy (Bruce) VanOrder, TJ (Amy) Thrasher, Kerrie Boodt, Scott Boodt, Karah Boodt, Josh and Matt Staggs, Andrea Warren, Michael Warren; great grandchildren, Tyler, Cierra and Hailee Stone, Noah Caldwell Roxie and Tyler VanOrder, Hunter Thrasher, Madalyn Staggs, Bryn Ritter, Jasper Warren. She was preceded in death by her husband John Robert Boodt, a sister Pamela Ann St John, 2 brothers, Jack and Bob Newcomb, her parents and step father Peter Lugia. Following her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place Saturday August 29th, 11 AM at the BLOOMINGDALE CHAPEL, D. L. Miller Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Al Van Humane Society.
