Nancy Scott

Nancy passed away, Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Kauhale in Otsego. She was born October 24, 1948, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of John and Arlene "Did" (Parker) Kennedy. Nancy received her master's degree in education from Western Michigan University. She started her teaching career with the migrant program in Fennville and for 28 years at Gobles Public Schools until her retirement. Nancy loved children and encouraged and nurtured many students over the years. When she was younger, Nancy enjoyed taking walks. She loved being on the farm and driving her tractor. On December 19, 1970, in Kalamazoo, she married Kenneth Scott who passed away in 2005. Surviving are her sons, Russell Scott and Jeff (Jennifer) Scott both of Alamo; 4 grandchildren, Maddux, Kaden, Grace and Harper; siblings, John Jr. (Beth) Kennedy and Roger Kennedy along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. According to her wishes cremation has taken place. Burial of ashes will take place at Trowbridge Cemetery. A celebration of Nancy's life will be held at a later time. Contributions in memory of Nancy may be made to Kauhale Assisted Living Activities Fund.
