Nancey Lobdell

Was born on April 30, 1947 and resided in Kalamazoo her entire life. On July 28, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer she went home safely in the arms of Jesus. She was looking forward to being with her heavenly Father and with her parents Frank and Elsie Lobdell, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a nephew, Michael Kozminske II and several aunts and uncles. Nancy graduated from Loy Norrix High School and got her associates degree from Western Michigan University. Nancy had a great love of sports and was an avid follower of U of M. Nancy was a member of United Methodist Church. She loved her church family and enjoyed helping out when ever needed. She is survived by a brother, Ivan Lobdell, Kalamazoo, Michigan and Robert and Kathy Lobdell of Gun Lake, Michigan. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins. A special great niece and nephew Mackenzie and Nicholas Ortlieb were especially dear to her heart. A memorial service will be held at United Milwood Methodist Church on Friday at 11:30 AM. Friends and family may visit beginning at 10:30 AM. A luncheon will take place following the service in the church basement. According to Nancy's wishes, cremation has taken place and Nancy will be laid to rest with her parents at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Private burial services will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the charity of your choice and Nancy specified Health Ministry at Milwood United Methodist church.
