Michael Mentor

Michael 'Mike' Alan Mentor of Kalamazoo, MI passed away after a short battle with esophageal cancer at the age of 74 in Minneapolis, MN. Mike was born in Kalamazoo, MI to Edwin and Henrietta Mentor in January, 1947. After graduating from Kalamazoo Central he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After his discharge, he worked for the United States Postal Service for 30 years, retiring in 2000. Mike was an early riser, loved the news, weather and sports. He read the Kalamazoo Gazette everyday with Rose. Preceded in death by his wife Rose; parents,Edwin and Henrietta; son, Aaron. Survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Errol and Vilay; grandson, Malcolm; stepson, Craig; brother and sister-in-law, Phil and Linda; sister and brother-in-law, Maureen and Mike; brother and brother-in-law, Ken and Rick; nieces, Tammy, Kristie, Lisa, Connie; nephew, Steve.
