Michael Lawrence Kozminske

Michael Lawrence Kozminske, age 76 of Hudson, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2024.

Michael grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan where he attended St. Joseph Catholic School and Loy Norrix High School. He graduated from Western Michigan University and married, having five children. Michael retired from General Motors after a long and fulfilling career and moved to Hudson, Florida where he enjoyed traveling and community involvement. He was an avid stamp collector and loved a competitive game of cards. He was an active member of The Polish American Social Club in Hudson, where he served as president two consecutive terms and held various other positions over the years.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Norma Kozminske, and his son Michael Kozminske II. Michael is survived by Alice Huber, his loving and devoted partner of 17 years. His children, Cindy (Chuck) Ortlieb, Christie Kozminske, Sara Kozminske, Ryan (Melissa) Kozminske. His grandchildren Jennifer (Ryan) Earwood, Mackenzie Ortlieb, Nicholas Ortlieb, Hannah (Owen) Smit, Mary Kurzava, Sheila Kurzava, Magnolia Kurzava, and Brady Kozminske. His great grandchildren Cohen Earwood, Oneil Earwood, and Felix Earwood. His siblings Victoria (Joseph) Leale, Janet (Ray) Newhouse, Gary (Michele) Kozminske, and Jeffrey Kozminske, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was held in Hudson, Florida at The Polish American Social Club on Saturday, February 24.

Forever in our hearts, Michael will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and his love for family and his community.
