Cole, Maxine Holder passed away peacefully Wednesday February 3 at her home in Greenwich, NY surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 10, 1936 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was the daughter of Thomas and Virginia (Bronson) Holder. She met the love of her life, her husband Jim in band class at Kalamazoo Central High School. Maxine lived her strong faith in God, and was the kindest and proudest mother to Laurel (Ketav) Shah, Jeff (Cathy) Cole, Melanie DiSanto and Beth (Bill) Yaiser. Maxine was involved in all her children's activities at East Cooper and Parchment Schools. She will always be remembered as driving her children in the big Pontiac station wagon to 4-H classes, Scouts, piano lessons, swim lessons any school event and picnics to Milham Park and Lake Michigan. Many of these drives would include Maxine singing with her children and many nieces, nephews and neighborhood children. Maxine worked for Michigan Bell and New York Telephone phone companies. Maxine's co-workers remember her as a compassionate and fun person who could make people laugh. In addition to her husband Jim and her four children Maxine is survived by four grandchildren; Lauren (Jake) Mulder, Spencer (Annie) Cole, Brendon DiSanto and Lydia Yaiser; three great-grandsons, Will Mulder, Theodore Mulder and Easton Cole. Nieces; Kara Zagar, Kate Wheeler and Robin Lane. Nephews; Tommy Holder and Terry Holder. Three siblings; Jan Herrick, Dale (Micki) Holder and Philip (Mary) Holder. She is preceded in death by her son in-law Glenn DiSanto and grandson Brett. The family wishes to thank Saratoga Hospice and Compassionate Care Funeral Home of Saratoga Springs, NY.
