Mattie E. De Moore

Died Tuesday evening October 15, 2019 surrounded by her family. Mattie was born April 6, 1929 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Eli and Mattie (Phillips) LaRose. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and symbolized her dedication by means of water baptism on May 28, 1957. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph P. DeMoore on November 28, 1994; her daughter, Sherry Jaros; her siblings, Richard LaRose, Margaret Roelof, Ruth Tamse, Dorothy Blackmer, and George LaRose; and a brother-in-law, Howard DeMoore. She is survived by her son, John (Ernestine) DeMoore of Portage; a son-in-law, Robert Jaros; 4 grandchildren, Jane (David) Larson, Robert (Michelle) Jaros, Amy (Paul) Faulkner, and John DeMoore Jr. ; 10 great-grandchildren, Mikayla and Nathan, Nolan, Ryan, and Lauren, Emily and Sarah, and Jordan, Jace, and Jayke; a niece; and a nephew. Services will be held 11 o'clock Saturday from the Langeland Family Funeral

Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 622 S Burdick St, Kalamazoo, MI 49007. Visitation will be 4-7pm Friday and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
