Mary Lou Winget

Mary Lou Winget, age 81, of Battle Creek, died Friday, October 19, 2007, at Battle Creek Health System. Mary Lou was born on June 2, 1926, in Coldwater, Michigan.

She had been a lifelong resident of the area, graduating from Albion High School. She was employed at Toellers, and then Jacobson's for 7 years as a sales clerk. She married Charles T. Winget, who preceded her in death on December 13, 2003. She was a member of the Bedford Bible Church, was a Bluebird, campfire leader, and a room mother at the Springfield schools when her children attended. She and Charles spent their winters at Big Pine Key in Florida for several years, and then spent summers at Jones Lake campground in Delton. Surviving are her children, Sherry A. (John) Omarrah, Cindi R. Hudson, and Charles T. (Sheri) Winget II, all of Battle Creek; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Ella (Greeman) Farwell.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4:00 p.m. and 6 to 8:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family or the Scleroderma Research Foundation.
