Mary Lettow, age 87, entered into eternal life Wednesday, January 3 2018, at Heritage Community of Kalamazoo. She was born on November 28, 1930 in Kalamazoo, MI to Herbert and Alice (Hartman) Meisling. She also had 2 brothers, Donald and Russell. She was raised in Kalamazoo and graduated from Kalamazoo Central. She Married Max Lettow on Saturday, July 14, 1951. Mary worked at Upjohn and also at Dunkin Donuts. She was first and foremost a homemaker. She adored her boys. Mary and Max had 3 children. Mark, (Debbie) Lettow, Randy, (Cheryl) Lettow and Gary, (Kathy) Lettow. She was also blessed with 6 grandchildren, Samantha (Nick) DeRyke, Sarah Lettow, Mitch Lettow, Jamie (Heather) Lettow, Shawn Lettow and Kylie Lettow. She was blessed again with 5 great grandchildren.

Mary had a very sweet soul. She was a quiet no fuss person. She loved spending time with family soaking everyone in. She was thoughtful, kind and very generous. Mary was a pro at crafts. She always gave her loved ones such beautifully made gifts. She crocheted, knitted, painted and did needle point. She will be greatly missed.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved son Randy, her 2 brothers and parents.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 11:30-1pm at the Life Story Funeral Homes, 5975 Lovers Lane, Portage (269-344-5600). There will be a service on Monday at 1pm at the Mount Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
