Mary LeRoy

Mary Elizabeth LeRoy went to be with her Lord and Savior on Good Friday, April 7, 2023. Mary was born June 26, 1933, to the late Daniel and Cora (VanderMolen) VerMeulen. She graduated from Kalamazoo Christian High School. On November 4, 1955 she was united in marriage to Albert A. LeRoy, who preceded her in death on January 27, 2016. She was a lifelong member of 3rd Reformed/Centerpoint Church, where she was an organist for 50 years. Mary was a gifted homemaker for many years and retired from Langeland Family Funeral Homes after years of dedicated service. She is survived by her children, Tom LeRoy and Janet Scheffers; the pride and joy of her life, her grandchildren, Jenna, Erin and Kelsey LeRoy, Brandon Smith, Cory (Jessica) Jager, Tracee (Nick) Grant, and BJ (Sarah) Scheffers; great grandchildren, Kyleigh Gibbs, Colton and Nola Jager, Hunter and Maggie Scheffers. She loved and enjoyed every visit with her great grand pup Brimlee. Also surviving are her brother, Jim (Jeannie) VerMeulen; brother and sister in laws, Pat, Sue (Bill), Ann (Bob), Linda, and Rick (Phyliss); as well as many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, LuAnn Jager in April of 1997 whom she missed dearly; her brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Marilyn VerMeulen; brothers-in-law, Art, David and Leonard (Deb) LeRoy. Visitation will be held Monday, April 10, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services 3926 S 9th St. Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Private interment will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
