Mary Hurlbut

Sue passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the Wings Home in Allegan. She was born July 26, 1941 in Plainwell, the daughter of Robert and Mary (Helsel) Confer. Sue worked at Harding's, Skogsmo, Parker Hannifin, Bomar Research and most recently at Hamilton Lumber. In her free time Sue enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and playing slots at the casino. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. On May 20, 1960 at the Otsego Church of God, she married Daniel Hurlbut who survives. Also surviving are her son, David (Marta) Hurlbut; grandchildren, Marta Huerta, Aime (Juan Sr.) Cano, Jos Roldan, Maurisa Leslie, Natesha Hurlbut and Shenea Hurlbut; 22 great-grandchildren; her brother, Bob Jr. (Kay) Confer and sister, Barb Herschel. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Daniel Hurlbut Jr. and brother-in-law, Donald Earl Hurlbut. A private family graveside service was held at Mountain Home Cemetery in Otsego.
