Mary Hammill

Hammill, Mary 2/16/1937 - 7/27/2022 Largo, FL Mary J. Hammill Age 85, of Largo Florida, passed away peacefully on July twenty seventh 2022 surrounded by her family. She touched many lives. Mary graduated from Nazareth Academy and pursued a career in Business. She enjoyed watching/participating in sports, family game nights, and defending her winning titles! Recently, Mary and her grandson Steven became fans of Formula 1 racing. She also enjoyed the musical stylings of her grandson Noah who loves to play the drums. Throughout her lifetime, she had been a dedicated parishioner at St. Augustine Church where she taught CCD classes for many years. Mary enjoyed music and performed with the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra. After meeting her husband Norbert, and raising their three children, they enjoyed living in Vicksburg, Michigan on Barton Lake. Eventually, they moved to Florida where they were blessed with amazing family, friends, and close neighbors. Mary is survived by her sister; Carol Cody of Houston, TX; sister in law Jane Kavanaugh of Kalamazoo, MI; three children; Tod (Patrice) Hammill of Seminole, FL; Tonya Rogers (Dennis Holmer) of Kalamazoo, MI; and Teryl (Karen) Hammill of Okemos, MI. Mary was very proud of her seven grandchildren and recent great granddaughter. Mary has touched a lot of lives throughout her journey. She was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and cherished by nieces and nephews. A future celebration of life will take place in Florida.
