Martin Zehner

Martin H. Zehner Jr., 81, of Sun City, AZ passed away peacefully at Hospice of Arizona on December 4, 2015. Cremation took place at this time. He was born July 10, 1934 to the late Martin H. Zehner Sr. and Lillian L.(Shinew)Jones. He worked for Fisher Body in Flint, MI before relocating to the Fisher Body in Kalamazoo, MI in 1966 as a Tool and Die Maker until his retirement in 1993. He then resided in Sun City, AZ until his death. He was an avid bowler in the Kalamazoo area and continued to be in AZ where he was inducted to the Phoenix Bowling Hall of Fame and served as President of the USBG of Phoenix for many years He was preceded in death by his parents; Brother Jerry Jones and Grandson Cody Zehner. Survived by his wife of 39 years Darlene Zehner. Sons; Greg Zehner of N. Carolina, Doug (Patty) Zehner of Vicksburg, MI and William (Monica) Zehnerof Kalamazoo, MI. Daughters; Cheryl Prather of Kalamazoo, MI, Kathi (Carl) Peterson of MN and Jenny (Tom) Sowell of Portage, MI. 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great-great children. Sisters; Grace (Ray) Phillips of Swartz Creek, MI and Rosemary (Gary) Tinham of Sun City, AZ. A Grave Side Gathering to remember and honor "Marty" will be on July 9, 2016 at Mount Ever Rest cemetery (Take the Burdick St. entrance) at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon at his sons residence in Vicksburg will take place after.
