Martha Novotny

Novotny, Martha 7/4/1943 - 4/3/2022 Otsego Martha Elaine Novotny of Otsego passed away Sunday evening, April 3, 2022 at Stanford Adult Care Lodge of Plainwell. Martha was born July 4, 1943 in Allegan, Michigan to Ernest M. and Dorothy M. (Foote) Coffey. Growing up as one of six children, there were plenty of chores on the farm and at home to keep her busy. She graduated from Allegan High School and on April 27, 1963 she married Robert Novotny. Martha retired from Parker Hannifin after working there for many years. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and traveling. Most of all Martha enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving is her daughter, Kristi (Chuck) Cushman of Plainwell, grandchildren, Phillip, Alecia, Chase, Emma, Carter and 3 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Angela (Don) Belden of Allegan and Alice (Roger) Riddlington of Allegan, brothers Ernest (Sharon) Coffey of Allegan and Art Coffey of Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, son Jeff, 1 great grandchild, sisters, Aleta Story, Dena Coffey and her brother Louis Coffey. Friends may meet with Martha's family beginning at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Winkel Funeral Home until the time of the service at 11:00 am on Thursday. Celebrant Bill Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Martha may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
