Passed away peacefully on May 21, 2021, at home with his family by his side. He was born on July 24, 1936, the son of Luther and Elizabeth Harvey in Schoolcraft, MI. He worked in the paper industry for over thirty years before retiring. After his retirement, he enjoyed his time working on crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles of at least 1000 pieces, going to lunch with his best friend Bob on Thursdays, spending time with his family but mostly going to Menards after building wooden benches for the community who loved to purchase them from him as he waved at them in front of his shop. He is survived by his wife Phyllis, whom he married September 24, 1955, his children, Timothy (Peggy) Harvey of Gobles, Brenda (Charlie) Missias of Portage, Luther (Pam) Harvey of Orlando Florida, Eric (Mary) Harvey of Paw Paw, Karen Wiggins of Kalamazoo, and Kenneth Harvey of Gobles; his 12 grandchildren and 20 great-children; his brothers James and Norman Harvey, sisters, Jane Stewart and Rachael Harvey and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his in Laws who said he was his favorite son-in-law, and son, Marlan Harvey Jr. Visitation will be on Wednesday May 26th from 10-12 Am, with services to follow at 12 pm, with Pastor Glen Litchfield officiating, at the Gobles Chapel of the D.L. Miller Funeral Home, www.dlmillerfuneralhome.com with cremation to follow. Inurnment will take place on Friday June 4th at 11 am at Earl Cemetery in Pinegrove Township.
