Marjorie Boerman

Boerman, Marjorie 9/21/1953 - 10/8/2022 Tinton Falls NJ Marjorie DeKam Boerman, age 69, previously of Holland MI, passed away October 8, 2022 in Tinton Falls NJ. Marjorie was born in Kalamazoo MI on September 21, 1953 to John and Ann (Everts) DeKam. She graduated from Portage Central High School and Hope College. Marjorie started her broadcast career in 1976 at WHTC (Holland MI) as News Anchor; later positions with WHTC included Production Director and Associate News Director. Marjorie married Kevin Boerman (b. Muskegon MI) in 1977. During her years in Holland, Marjorie became an award-winning quilter; she also excelled in knitting, crocheting and she was a superb seamstress. Marjorie attended Central Wesleyan Church, Holland and was a long-time volunteer at Holland Museum. Marjorie was predeceased by her husband, Kevin Boerman (d. 2007); she is survived by two sisters and their spouses: Joanne (Larry) Woodward of Fort Mill SC and Patricia DeKam (Robert) Zilinski of Highlands NJ; brother-in-law Kurt (Laurie) Boerman of Muskegon MI; 1 niece and 4 nephews.
