Marie F. Johnson, age 88, passed away Friday, December 4, 2015 Tuesday, at her residence. Marie was born in Chicago, IL March 17, 1927, daughter of the late Alexander and Antoinette (Nee: Fucilla) Greco.

On June 1, 1946, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church she was united in marriage to Lawrence J. Johnson who preceded her in death January 28, 2014. Marie was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a Senior Club Leader for over 20 years mainly at the Bryant Center and had also volunteered as a poll worker for many years. She was a devoted wife and mother and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her children, Mark S. Johnson and Lynn M. Johnson; sisters-in-law, Sarah Greco, Ruth Greco; many, many, dear nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers John and Robert Greco.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 10, 2015, 10:30 A.M. A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Ave., with Rev. Ricardo Martin officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the church from 9:30 A.M. until time of Mass at 10:30 A.M..

The family wishes to extend a special thankyou to Dr. Michael Mullane and staff and the staff of Hospice Alliance especially Connie, Nicole and Cindy for your loving and compassionate care.
