Marian Sharpe

Marian K. Sharpe of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the age of 98. Marian was born in Beaverdam, MI on January 17, 1918, the daughter of the late Henry G. Ohlman and Martina (Barnes) Ohlman. She was a member of Grace Christian Reformed Church. She was married to Bernard "Bernie" Sharpe on July 19, 1939; he preceded her in death on August 27, 2007. She is survived by three daughters and their spouses, Judy (Hank) VanEeuwen, Ruth and Michael Stoddard & Lola and Mark Van Gilst; sixteen grandchildren; and twenty-five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Pastors Mark Van Gilst and Greg Timmer will officiate the service. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel. Private Interment will take place in Zeeland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Christian Reformed Home Missions or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
