Marian Penny

Marian (Bouchard) Penny, age 88, of Kalamazoo, MI died Sunday evening November 20, 2016 at her residence. Marian was born January 12, 1928 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, a daughter of Hemmo and Martha (Hoekstra) Mejeur. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with the James River Corporation for 17 years before retiring. Marian attended Bethel Reformed Church until it's closure then Greenwood Reformed Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Clifford R. Bouchard in September of 1972; her second husband, Frederick J.B. Penny in January of 1988; a sister, Adrianna Nedervelt; and 2 brothers, Garrett and Jerry Mejeur. Marian is survived by 2 children, Keith (Brenda VanTilburg) Bouchard of Kalamazoo and Sharon (David Demko) Bouchard of Chamblee, GA; 4 grandchildren, Shannon, Eric, Casey, and Ellen; a brother, Joseph Mejeur of Kalamazoo; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 1 o'clock Friday at Greenwood Reformed Church, 1815 Winton Ave. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery.
