Marian Dunn

Dunn, Marian Kathryn 8/15/1947 - 12/13/2020 Gobles Marian Kathryn (Schmidt) Dunn, 73, of Gobles, MI passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Ascension Allegan Hospital. Born August 15, 1947 in Allegan, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Valeria (Sudeikis) Schmidt and was the wife of Michael Dunn. Marian was retired from the United States Postal Service following thirty-five years of service. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for ten years. Marian loved people and was instantly friends with anyone she met. She was a fantastic baker who was known especially for her chocolate and peanut butter cookies as well as her jam kolaches. Marian also liked canning fruits and vegetables. She enjoyed being outdoors and going for walks in the woods and loved to watch the hummingbirds. Marian was also a talented seamstress and artist. She especially liked to work with ceramics and stained glass. Marian was an avid animal lover and had given homes to many dogs throughout her life. In addition to her husband, Michael, she is survived by her brother, Edward; niece, Sofia; uncle Bill (Jean) Schmidt; numerous cousins and many friends. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Marian will be laid to rest at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Cemetery in Allegan.
