Maria Sonnek

WEIDLICH - Maria Agnes Sonnek passed away Friday, September 4th, at the age of 88, at Metron of Forest Hills after a long illness. She was born February 12, 1921 in Magdeburg, Germany and later moved to Lueneburg where she lived with her husband, Theodor, and three children until 1957, when the whole family immigrated to the US. She made a new life for herself and her family here in Michigan. Maria is survived by her children, Edeltraud Keener of Bristow, VA, Angelika Brace (Terrrell Brace DDS) of Grand Rapids, MI, Gerhard Weidlich (Valerie) of Plano, TX; and her grandchildren, Scott Keener, Chris Keener, Terrell Michael Brace, Mark Brace, Daniel Weidlich, Kevin Weidlich, Christine Weidlich; as well as her great-granddaughters, April Triplett, Kimberly Keener, Lauren and Tara Brace. Another great-grandchild is expected sometime near her birthday in February. She was deeply loved by all of us. We will miss her and keep her in our hearts. Private family services will be held.
