Marguerite Miersma

Marguerite G. Miersma, age 88, of Kalamazoo, MI went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 22, 2016. She was born on February 23, 1928, in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of the late Jacob and Grace (VandenBerg) Nieboer. Marguerite had a gentle heart and a strong faith in the Lord. She was a member of Covenant United Reformed Church. Marguerite loved her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her. On April 30, 1948, she married Calvin Miersma who survives. She is also survived by four children, Thomas (Janice) Miersma, Marcia (Daniel) Triemstra, Paul (Nancy) Miersma, Timothy (Tammy) Miersma; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Harold (Fran) Nieboer, Donna Johncock, Nick (Ann) Nieboer, Phil (Barb) Nieboer, Will (Gert) Nieboer, Mary (Bill) Greenfield, Howard (Debbie) Nieboer; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also preceded in passing by a daughter-in-law, Vicki Miersma; brother, Jack Nieboer; sister and brother-in-law, Esther (Walt) Ring; brother-in-law, Norm Johncock. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016, beginning at 1:00 PM, at Covenant United Reformed Church, 3724 Lovers Ln., Kalamazoo, MI 49001. Memorial contributions may be given to Covenant United Reformed Church, Kalamazoo Christian Schools or Bethany Christian Services, c/o of the funeral home.Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home
