Weber, Marguerite Leila (Jevert) Richland, MI Marguerite passed away on September 22, 2016 in Naperville, IL at the age of 84. She was born in Chicago, IL on August 2, 1932 to the late Joseph Axel and Marion Barbara (Wibblesman) Jevert. As a vital member of the Richland Business Community, Marguerite along with her husband Jack, owned and operated Weber's Village Market for over 25 years. For 18 years Marguerite also co-owned and operated Travel Unlimited of Richland, where her passion for travel took her across the U.S. and to many parts of the globe. A lifetime commitment to community included founding member of Gull Lake Community Church, Deacon for Richland Presbyterian Church, Girl Scout Leader, United Way Volunteer, and helping start the "Older Bunch for Lunch." Marguerite was a woman of quiet strength and determination who continued to travel, pushing Jack in his wheel chair to visit their kids across the country, to Ireland, South America, and Alaska even as her own health began to decline. Marguerite was never happier than when she was planning her next trip or social engagement. She was always gracious and joyful her hospitality was legendary. She treasured her Bridge Gals, her Hand & Foot friends, and the Richland Red Hatters. She leaves behind a "Village" of friends. Marguerite married John G. "Jack" Weber on June 28th, 1952 in Birchwood, WI. She was preceded in death by Jack, her husband of 56 years, on December 7, 2008. Marguerite will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Jeff (Jan) Weber of Naperville, IL, Jackie Weber of Richland, MI, Joel Weber of Colorado Springs, CO and Jill (Jesus) Guevara of Dallas, TX; four grandchildren, Adam and Jake Weber, Lily Guevara, and Peter (Heather) Bruss; two great-grandchildren, Dominic and Mary Bruss; a sister-in-law Nancy Lindenberger, a niece and several nephews; and her German family Helge, Birthe, Thorben, and Soren Schweers. In addition to her husband, Marguerite was also preceded in death by her sister Jean Kolle and her brother Arthur Jevert. The memorial service to celebrate Marguerite's life will be held on Saturday, November 5, at 11:00 a.m. at Yorkville Community Church, 11523 East D Avenue, Richland with Rev. Shan Martin and Rev. Shawn Raifsnider, officiating. The memorial will be followed by a light luncheon in the Church Fellowship Hall. Memorial contributions in Marguerite's honor may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of MI, the Richland Community Library or the Shepard's Center of Greater Kalamazoo.
