Obituary
Age 56. Died April 26, 2025 following a cardiac event. Margo was born in Kalamazoo on February 8, 1969 to the late John Dee Fair and Shirley Ann (Kennedy) Fair. Larger than life, Margo's personality lit up a room, whether it be at a Michigan Football party or team meeting at work. For 30 years Margo worked in the convenience store industry. Worked her way from third shift to Market Manager where at one point she managed stores for the entire state of Michigan. Margo won a Star Award for excellent store conditions for the entire company of Clark (over 1500 stores). She never said no to helping a colleague and often collaborated with the finance department to create spreadsheets and formulas. Margo was an avid golfer. She was the Club Champion at Ridgeview Golf Course and also nailed a hole in one! Margo loved the water, boating, fishing, and floating. Margo also enjoyed the bonus of free games on her favorite slot machine. Most of all, Margo was well known for her famous playlists, which actually began as mixed tapes. She knew how to lift the party with music as the cocktails flowed. Her love of '70s music was apparent when dominating Song Quiz by naming the title and artist. Everyone knew Margo's favorite was Earth, Wind & Fire. The song "Be Ever Wonderful" was particularly special because Margo found the wonderful in everyone she met, every living thing she encountered. She would kindly tell bees and ants to find a new home and would open doors for flies to go out. Her cats were her kids. They too had nicknames as did everyone else she knew. Margo is survived by her spouse, Suzy (aka Rachel) Wunderlich; siblings: John Dee (Brian Weibusch) Fair, Mary (Phil aka Bucky) Early and Joe (Mari May) Fair; nephews: Ted (Meg Reynolds) Ely, Dan (Christina Kopanski) Ely and Ryan Vetter-Fair; niece, Jen (Justin) Force; cousins, in-laws and many friends. A casual open house to celebrate Margo's amazing life will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 2-5 PM at the Lake Doster Clubhouse, 116 Country Club Blvd, Plainwell; wear your favorite University of Michigan gear. Bring a memory to share and maybe your golf clubs for a round. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Kalamazoo Animal Rescue, where she adopted her last family of cats kalamazooanimalrescue.org.
