Maggie passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She was born March 8, 1921 in Wayland, one of 7 children to the late Emil and Minnie (Moelhenry) Dietiker. Maggie was employed by First Federal Savings & Loan for several years until her retirement in 1988. She was a member of Comstock United Methodist Church, was active in the American Business Women's Association and also was a volunteer for Hospice of Greater Kalamazoo. Maggie was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Ouding on April 16, 1980; her parents; four brothers, Harold, Otto, Robert, and Louis Dietiker; and two sisters, Ruth Rychener and Mildred Pease. Surviving are four children, Jerry (Chris) Ouding of Granger, IN, Jan (Gene) Bensinger of Newhall, CA, Beth (Bradley) Whittle of Kalamazoo, and Elaine (Randy) Brinkert of Kalamazoo; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Maggie will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, with Rev. Wilbur Courter officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Comstock. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
