Margaret Ann "Maggi" Predum (Brown), cherished mother of Jolie-ann Corda, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2020 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. Maggi, beloved daughter of Alice and Berwyn Brown, was born on December 1, 1942. She was raised in Kalamazoo and attended Kalamazoo Public Schools graduating from Kalamazoo Central High School with the Class of 1960. She obtained her bachelors of science, majoring in communications, from Western Michigan University in 1985. Throughout her career she worked in office administration for Hoffman Construction Company and A & B Sewer and Septic; collections for Dan Wood Heating and Cooling; insurance broker for J.M. Wilson Corporation and eventually retired from Business Banking customer service with PNC. Maggi was a faithful attendee of Westwood United Methodist Church. Over the years she was a member of the church vocal and hand bell choirs, adventurer's social club; was an active Lay Speaker and Stephen Minister, and also instrumental in creating the currently popular church pasty sale. Maggi has been an avid Western Michigan University Hockey fan and season ticket holder for 43 years. Backing the Broncos was a passion that brought her great joy and many lifelong friends. Surviving are her only daughter and three step children, two grandchildren Jacob and Justine Corda, three step siblings and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Cremation will take place and a celebration service of Maggi's life will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020, time to be determined, at Westwood United Methodist Church, 538 Nichols Road, Kalamazoo MI 49006. In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions can be made in Maggi's name to Westwood United Methodist Church, Western Michigan University Athletic Foundation - Hockey Program or Rose Arbor Hospice Residence.
