Madeline Pindell

Pindell, Madeline "Jane" Portage Passed away Thursday December 8, 2022. Madeline was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Phillip and Helen (Stepan) Schweinfurth, and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She married Harry Pindell, Jr., in 1947, who she spent her life with until his passing in 1996. They lived in Indiana until 1956, when they moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan. They subsequently moved to South Bend, Indiana, in 1980, returning to Kalamazoo in 1996. Madeline was employed at the Notre Dame Credit Union until her retirement in 1989. Surviving Madeline are her three children, Harry, Steven, and Julie, 2 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 5 nieces and 2 nephews. She is preceded in in passing by her parents, husband, Harry Pindell, Jr., and her brother, Phillip George Schweinfurth. Per Madeline's request, cremation will take place and there will be no services at this time.
