Madeleine Hughes

Madeleine Hughes, age 73, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away Sunday August 23, 2015 at Rose Arbor Hospice. Madeleine was born February 4, 1942 in Hamtramck the daughter of Chester and Irene (Sorosic) Prisby. She received her Master's degree from Western Michigan University and was employed as a special education teacher for Loy Norix High School, then for Community Advocates. Surviving are two sons, Matthew Hughes of Macomb, IL, Michael (Eva) Hughes of Gobles; two grandchildren, Sage and Malita Hughes; two nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Prisby. A memorial service will be held 1 pm Saturday August 29, 2015 at Redmond Funeral Home, Kalamazoo. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Advocates.
