Lucille M. Will, age 90, of Kalamazoo, MI died June 26, 2016. Lucille was born February 17, 1926 in Kalamazoo to Glenn Ellsworth Woodruff and Marion Thelma (Smith) Woodruff. She had an older sister, Fran Meyers (spouse 'Bud' has passed), and a younger brother Leslie Woodruff (spouse Nan survives). She is survived by her husband of 53 years, James F. Will and their son Gregory James Will (Debra Broten) and their three grandchildren: Chelsea M. Will of FL., Jakob G. Will and Phoebe R. Will, both of Kalamazoo. Also surviving are her sister Fran's children; Mark and Lisa Meyers, Vicki and Steve Walma and Kim and Greg Balgoyen, all of Allegan, and her brother Leslie's children; Kelly Woodruff, Robin Griffin and Eric Woodruff, and Leslie's wife Nan, all of Anchor Bay, Michigan. Lucy was a graduate of Hopkins, MI High School, class of 1944. Shortly afterwards she moved to Kalamazoo, took some business courses, and landed an office job at Atlas Press, starting what would become a 43 year career. She enjoyed bowling and met her husband Jim at Airway Lanes in a mixed league sponsored by her employer. Never went on vacation without taking the chihuahua along (except Hawaii). Volunteered to help in pre-school, kindergarten, elementary school, and was a den mother in Cub Scouts. Lucy treasured her church family at Sunnyside United Methodist Church. Her Parkinson's sapped her energy, but never dampened her resilient spirit or infectious laugh which was pure glee. A special thanks to Lucy's longtime friend and confidante, Peggy Billingsley. Visitation will be at Langeland Family Funeral Home, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo, MI 49007 on Tuesday, June 28th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. There will be a memorial service at Sunnyside United Methodist Church, 2800 Gull Rd., Kalamazoo, MI 49048 on Wednesday, June 29th at 1:00pm, followed by a brief graveside service at Robinson Cemetery, located on M-40 just south of Gobles, MI.
