Lloyd Burke

Lloyd L. Burke, age 93, passed away July 28, 2016 in Kalamazoo, MI. Lloyd was born April 8, 1923, in Allegan, MI, the son of Joseph and Mabel (Haywood) Burke. He was a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and had served in the U.S. Army during WWII. For over 30 years he was employed with The Upjohn Company. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Evelyn (Wilson) Burke; his second wife Mamie Streeter-Burke and by all of his siblings. Surviving are three daughters Caroline Murphy, Pam Newcomb and Denise (John) Hoedl; step-children Kaye Streeter and Barbara Overhiser; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM Monday, August 1st at the Mt. Ever-Rest Chapel where he will be entombed in the mausoleum with full military honors.
