Linda Irons

Irons, Linda 7/18/1951 - 3/5/2022 Baroda Linda D. Irons, 70, of Baroda, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at home with her family by her side. A private celebration of life has taken place. Memorial contributions may be made to the Occupational Therapy Program at Western Michigan University. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel, St. Joseph. Those wishing to send a condolence online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Linda was born on July 18, 1951, to Frederick and Sophia (Palmer) Yauch in St. Joseph. She graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1969. On August 2, 1973, Linda married Rick Irons in Benton Harbor. Linda then went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University with Honors. She served at various organizations through the years, at one point owning her own business, and helped thousands of patients in her forty-year career. Linda was very passionate about helping people. She and Rick loved watching all Detroit sports and spending time at their cabin in Crystal Mountain, "Firefly". Linda was an excellent cook and had a beloved sarcasm. She cherished time spent with her family, this was especially true of her grandchildren, which she adored. Whether it was playing ping pong, teaching them how to drive a golf cart, supporting them in their athletics or any of the other countless activities. Linda is survived by her husband of 48 years, Rick Irons; daughters, Tara (Bruce) Modigell and Jennifer (David) Bourion; grandchildren, Jackson & Emma Modigell, Evelyn & Nolan Bourion; brother, Robert (Sherrie) Yauch and sister, Laura (Daniel) Hansen. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Sophia Yauch and daughter, Victoria.
