Eager, Mrs. Lettie Jean Kalamazoo, MI Went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 14, 2016 in Kalamazoo. Lettie was born on January 21, 1927 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Frank and Bertina (Watson) Allworth. Lettie grew up in Kalamazoo where she met the love of her life Nelson Eager. On May 9, 1947 they married. Lettie and Nelson celebrated 60 wonderful years together before Nelson passed January 3, 2008. Also preceding her in death were her parents; brothers Durwood, Robert and Harold and sister-in-law Mildred Allworth, sister and brother-in-law Elinor and Sheldon Sagert, sister Donna Kitsmiller, and brother in-law Harold Rose. Lettie loved to cook, garden, sew, crochet and travel with Nelson. Surviving are her daughters Diane (Gregory) Gustafson of Three Rivers and Cheryl Walker of Kalamazoo; grandchildren Bryan (Cheryl) Gustafson of Portage, Ryan (Angela) Gustafson, Jason (Kelly) Gustafson, Amy Cray (fiance Mark Satmary) all of Three Rivers, and Michelle (Michael) Russo of Tawas. Great-grandchildren Korey Gustafson, Erica, Hannah and Alysse Russo, Matthew and Thomas Gustafson and Connor Newberry. Also surviving Lettie is her sister Mary Lou Rose and brother-in-law Cap Kitsmiller, plus several beloved nieces and nephew. Services will be held 12 noon Monday, July 18th at Friendship Wesleyan Church, 1285 102nd Avenue, Plainwell, Ml, with Pastor Kevin Smith officiating. A luncheon will follow church services. Committal services will be held 3:30 Monday in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery chapel, Kalamazoo. The family would like to thank Oakview Terrace for the love and care they provided for Lettie the past three years and to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
