Letha Jarvis, age 87 of Portage (formerly of Athens) passed away on December 17, 2016 at Upjohn Community Care Center. Letha was born on May 18, 1929 to Roland & Bernice (Morgan) Wyman. Visit with her family and friends on Wednesday 21, from 4:00 – 7:00 at the Life Story Funeral Home, Vicksburg; 409 S. Main St. (649-1697). A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Burr Oak Cemetery in Athens, MI. Letha’s family includes her daughters: Marjorie (Thomas) DeVisser, Jerrie Lee Jarvis and Robin (Michael) Stasney; her siblings: Lee (Arlene) Wyman and Leora (Sid) Fowler; 2 grandchildren: Morgan and Jared and 2 step grandchildren: Michael and Christopher; 5 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry and her parents. Letha was a long time member of the Portage Eagles and the Order of the Eastern Star, Naomi Chapter 59. She was also an honorary member of the U.S.S. Williamsburg. Memorial donations can be made to the Navy - Marine Corp. Relief Society.
