Leslie E. McWethy born December 12, 1924 passed away peacefully at Park Village Pines on June 2, 2020. Leslie served in the Army during WWII as a MP in France. afterward marrying the love of his life, Lorella Addie Finch of Edenville. Les loved camping with his wife and children. He also enjoyed fishing, wood working and especially country music. He arranged many bus trips to Nashville, TN to visit the Grand Ole Opry. He later became a DJ for karaoke at many different events and parties. Les retired from what was then the Upjohn company as a lead line man. He was famous for always carrying postage stamps, which many of his co-workers appreciated. Les was a lifetime member of the VFW where he would go to enjoy a Bud Light. Les later met a lovely lady-Shirley Vichon in Florida and fell in love again. After a while they moved to Mesa Arizona to be close to her daughters. Due to Shirley's health issues she had to be in a nursing home. Les was then moved back home. He was the son of Rexford and Eva Fra McWethy from Midland Michigan. He was the youngest of 6 siblings which have all passed. He has 6 surviving children. Sandra Sweat of Maryland, Mary McDade of Illinois, Marcia McWethy of Galesburg, Dean (Debbie) McWethy of Kalamazoo, Vickie McWethy of Grand Rapids, and Tony (Mindie) of Kalamazoo. He has many Grandchildren, Great-grand children, and Great-Great Grandchildren. A private family only Funeral will be held at Fort Custer Federal Cemetery June 12, 2020 where he will be buried by his wife.
