Crego, Jr., LeRoy Portage, Michigan LeRoy James Crego, Jr., went home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 19, 2021, preceded in death by his loving and faithful wife, Priscilla Jean Nault Crego on November 14, 2012. He missed her dearly and is now rejoicing with her and their Lord together. LeRoy was born to LeRoy J. Crego, Sr. and Edna Ruth (Boers) Crego on August 26th 1928 in Illinois. His parents moved back to Kalamazoo when he was about 2 years old where he lived the rest of his life. He graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1947. Roy retired after 38 years working for Consumers Power Company. Roy and Priscilla were blessed with 4 daughters: Rebecca Joy (Kirk Needham), Deborah Jeanne (John Barr), Michelle Ruth (John Devries), and Angela Marie Crego who preceded her parents in death at the age of 2 in 1962. Roy was a true servant of our Lord Jesus Christ serving in many capacities with his beloved wife Priscilla before her death and afterwards he was called "The Harmonica Man". He would love to play for the ill in nursing homes, at friends' home and just about anyone he would meet he would play for them songs from the Lord. Everyone loved Roy as he put smiles on everyone's faces and people were truly blessed to know him. Roy served in the U.S. National Guard. Roy attended Calvary Bible Church of Kalamazoo for many years and enjoyed being a part of the "Encourager's Group" which met every Sunday after service. He had a passion for weightlifting, which he did for 80 years, every day. He was a fabulous outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He traveled many a decade to Manitoulin Island in Canada, where he fished with his parents and family. He taught his children and grandchildren about the outdoors which is still being carried on. Roy has 7 grandchildren: Melissa Jean Laskowski, Suzanne L. Gramm, Amber Reeves, Matthew Barr, Angela Barr, Kenyon Christopher Shane, and Candace Camiller. He also has 10 great-grandchildren. We invite you to partake in the celebration of his life on Friday, May 28th beginning at 1:00 p.m. for viewing, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Bible Church, 855 S. Drake Rd., Burial will follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South. Arrangements by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S.
