Leontyne "Tina" Partee's life was taken unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 21, 2007. May she rest in peace with her Lord and Savior. Preceded in death by her father, Jim Partee; and sister, Hattie Mae Partee, she leaves in love her children, Ashlee Rose and Jordan William; Fabian Newland, father of the children; her mother, Bette Jane; her siblings, Dan (Brenda) Partee, Lisa (Chris) Wilson, Tim (Nakia) Partee, Gail Jernigan, Lionel (Deanna) Partee, Margarette MacDory, Terris (Charlette) Partee, Donald (Tina) Partee, Earlie Mae Partee, along with many aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family has requested contributions be made to the Leontyne "Tina" Partee Scholarship Fund to help further the education of deserving students at any Huntington Bank. Public viewing will be held Sunday, August 26, 2007 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Ivy K. Gillespie Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 27, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Messiah Baptist Church.
