With faith in God's promise of eternal rest, Leo E. Tiller of Portage, Michigan, entered into peace on October 3, 2026, at the age of 84.
Born on September 6, 1942 in Kalamazoo, MI, Leo E. Tiller lived a life marked by devotion to family, faith, and steadfast work. For more than 30 years, he dedicated his time to The Upjohn Company before retiring. His faith remained a guiding presence throughout his life, and he was a parishioner at St. Martin of Tours in Vicksburg.
Leo's life was closely woven with those he loved. His memory is held by his wife of 63 years, Sandra; his sister, Theresa (and the late Dale) VandenBerg; his daughter, Kimberly (Karl) Lamp; his sons, Christopher (Shannon) Tiller and Craig (Jennifer) Tiller; his eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; his sisters-in-law, Sherry (Mark) Strebeck and Kathy (and the late James) Wardlaw; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Ruth (O'Connor) Tiller, and by his siblings, Russell Tiller and Deloris Culver.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Martin of Tours in Vicksburg, Michigan, on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Private interment will follow according to his wishes.
In the years granted to him, Leo showed constancy in the places that mattered most: in marriage, in work, in faith, and in the family circle that surrounded him. With gratitude for his life and trust in God's mercy, those who knew him commend his memory to lasting love and prayer. May Leo rest in eternal peace.
