McGinnis, Laurie Louise 1/20/1962 - 12/8/2021 Lakeland TN Laurie Louise (Hecke) McGinnis Laurie Louise McGinnis became an Angel, on December 8, 2021, in Lakeland TN with her family by her side. Laurie was born January 20, 1962 in South Haven MI to Roland & Dorothy Hecke. She graduated from Bangor High School in 1980 and moved to Kalamazoo MI where she was employed at Frank's Nursery. There she met her future husband, Sean McGinnis and they were united in marriage August 16, 1986. After moves to Yuma AZ & Huntington Beach CA, they settled in Lakeland TN. Besides her husband Sean, she leaves 3 children, Patrick McGinnis of Nashville TN, Brendan McGinnis, Lakeland TN and Erin McGinnis, Winter Garden FL, her parents, Fredrick and Dorothy Schultz of Portage MI. Preceding her in death are her father, Roland Hecke and her brother, Michael Hecke. Laurie was a wonderful wife & loving, devoted mom to her 3 children. Her favorite things were her beloved dog Callie, her craftwork, shopping, Hallmark movies & best of all Christmas. A Memorial is planned for a later date.
