Laurence Richard Novak
Died June 3, 2014
TRAVERSE CITY — Laurence Richard Novak, 77, of Traverse City, died June 3, 2014, at his home. He was born on March 20, 1937, in Traverse City, to Lawrence and Elizabeth (Osga) Novak.
He married Doris Arlene Cornett on Aug. 4, 2000.
Laurence worked for the City of Traverse City for 32 years before retiring in 2010.
He enjoyed spending his time fishing, hunting and camping.
Laurence is survived by his wife, Arlene; they were married on Aug. 4 2000; stepdaughters, Rebecca (Glen) Alexis and Christine Garcia, of Port Huron; step-grandchildren, Jared and Morgan; and his two sisters, Carolyn Sly and Beverly (Terry) Banks, of Traverse City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Elizabeth Novak.
Cremation has taken place. An informal gathering will held from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014, at the Life Story Funeral Home, Traverse City.
