Boss, Kristen 5/5/1977 - 7/14/2022 Saint Petersburg Kristen Blaine (Parker) Boss, age 45, died on July 14, 2022, in La Jolla, California, surrounded by family and friends, after a courageous 15-month fight against angiosarcoma, a very rare and aggressive cancer. Kristy was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, a daughter to Ronald and Diane Parker on May 5, 1977. She gleefully celebrated Cinco De Mayo every year! Her growing up years in Galesburg and Richland were happy and filled with fun, sports and friends! Her family moved to Gull Lake when she was in middle school. She loved that area so much that she bought a cottage there to ensure her Florida children would grow-up loving that area and the state of Michigan as much as she did. Kristy graduated from Gull Lake High School in 1995 where she lettered in softball and basketball and earned a scholarship to play basketball for the Lady Noles at Florida State University. After injuring her knee in her sophomore year, Kristy decided to return to her home state and attained her lifelong goal of graduating from the University of Michigan in 1999! Kristy's first two words as a little girl were "Go Blue" and a short time later her parents just knew she would become a lawyer. She returned to Florida in 2000 to attend law school at Stetson College of Law and graduated in 2003. Kristy started her legal career with Carlton Fields in Tampa, Florida. Then she became in-house counsel for Duke Energy in St. Petersburg. Her most recent job that she loved was Vice President, Deputy General Counsel for Taylor Morrison, a company that was unbelievable in its love and support of Kristy during her illness. Kristy always pushed herself to reach the top limits of anything she ever attempted. That led her to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa in 2012. Kristy was very generous with her time and abilities and served on many boards including American Stage, Tampa Zoo, Moffitt Cancer Center, and St. Petersburg Arts Alliance. Kristy was also chosen as a member of Leadership St. Pete and Leadership Florida. Kristy was united in marriage to her loving husband, Chris, on New Year's Eve in Paris, France, 2014, after a ceremony in St. Petersburg on November 28th. They were such a beautiful couple that people kept asking for their autographs when they stopped to take pictures, thinking they were celebrities. They had 3 wonderful children in 4 years who were the love and joy of their lives. Kristy will always be remembered for the love and loyalty she showered on her friends and family, especially her husband and 3 little ones. She is survived by her husband, Chris, two sons, Brooks and Parker, her daughter, Korey, her mother, Diane (Mack) Parker, sister, Kelly Williams, brother-in-law, Matthew "Bebop" Williams, mother and father-in-law, Vicki and Gary Boss, and sisters-in-law, Kathleen (Stephen) Pineault, and Annemarie (Nick) Boss, all of St. Petersburg, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who all adored her. She is also survived by a multitude of very special friends from Michigan, Florida and across the country and Australia who cherished their friendships with Kristy. She was preceded in death by her father, Ron Parker. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 29th at 10:00am at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 1600 54th Avenue S, St. Petersburg, FL 33712. A reception will immediately follow at Isla Del Sol Yacht & Country Club, 6000 Sun Blvd, St. Petersburg, FL 33715.
