Kim Ardrey of East Leroy, MI passed away peacefully on June 19th 2024 at Battle Creek Bronson Hospital after a brief illness and hard fight.

She was born January 19th 1962, in Battle Creek, to Sandra Simmons (Smith) and Marvin (Jack) Gibson. She graduated from Climax-Scotts High- School with her best friend Heidi Reschner, where they shared their own language no one could understand. She excelled in steno/typing and Cheerleading and still remained a cheerleader to all she loved.

She married Brent Ardrey April 23rd 1982. Her greatest joy are her son, Austin Ardrey and grandson, Jacob Ardrey. After 15 years, she was truly blessed with a princess granddaughter, Hadley Sue Ardrey. She has spent the last 5 years caring for and teaching Hadley the things she loved like cooking, reading and caring for the birds. She was known by several children as Grandma Kim.

Kim loved dogs, even strays that were brought home by Brent. She was so proud of the work of Joanne's Ark Rescue and encouraged everyone she knew to donate to the "Paws."

Kim is survived by her husband Brent Ardrey, son Austin (Tammy) Ardrey, grandchildren Jacob Ardrey, London Butterworth, Ava Butterworth and Hadley Sue Ardrey. Also surving are her mother Sandy Smith, sister Kristi (Joe) Cook, brothers Kevin Gibson and Derek Gibson, brother-in-law John Ardrey, aunt Sharon Lake, uncle Ron Simmons, aunt Paula Rae, and lots of special cousins, neices and nephews, although she made everyone feel special. She was preceded in death by her father Jack Gibson, mother-in-law Mary Rose Ardrey, father-in-law William Ardrey and grandmother Eleanor Smith.Education was very important to Kim, so in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the family for higher education for her grandchildren c/o Austin Ardrey.
